Pelatih Arema FC Jose Manuel Gomes da Silva meminta maaf kepada suporter klubnya, Aremania, usai skuadnya dikalahkan tim tamu Persib Bandung dengan skor 1-3, pada lanjutan Liga 1 Indonesia 2024-2025 di Blitar.

 

"Saya meminta maaf kepada Aremania untuk kejadian (hasil pertandingan-red) hari ini," kata Ze Gomes, sapaan akrabnya, dalam sesi konferensi pers seusai pertandingan di Stadion Soepriadi, Blitar, Jumat.

 

Ze Gomes menyatakan bahwa akan melakukan evaluasi untuk memperbaiki performa tim, sekaligus mempersiapkan para pemain menyongsong laga selanjutnya yakni menghadapi Bali United, pada Senin (3/2).

 

Dia menyatakan bahwa laga yang diselenggarakan bulan depan tersebut akan dimaksimalkan untuk merebut tiga poin.

Sebab, menurut pelatih asal Portugal itu, kemenangan kemenangan akan meningkatkan kembali moral para pemain.

 

"Kami harus bekerja lebih keras lagi karena Arema ini tim besar dan memiliki pemain berkualitas. Pasti kami melakukan persiapan untuk pertandingan selanjutnya," ujarnya.

 

Terkait laga melawan Persib, Ze Gomes menyebut organisasi permainan dari pemain Arema FC sebenarnya sudah berjalan bagus.

Selain itu, secara kerja keras anak didiknya mampu menunjukkan hal itu sepanjang jalannya pertandingan. Salah satunya, berhasil menyamakan kedudukan menjadi 1-1, usai terlebih dahulu tertinggal dari tim tamu.

 

"Di babak kedua kami mampu tampil lebih bagus daripada Persib," kata dia.

 

Namun, akibat terjadinya gol kedua dari Persib yang dicetak oleh Tyronne Del Pino pada menit ke-67 memberikan tekanan kepada para pemain Arema FC.

 

"Di babak pertama (Charles) Lokolingoy berhasil mencetak gol, tapi Persib langsung di babak kedua langsung mencetak gol kedua dan itu memberikan pukulan langsung ke pemain," tutur Gomes.

 

Sementara itu, pesepak bola Arema FC Arkhan Fikri turut menyampaikan permohonan maafnya kepada seluruh suporter tim kebanggaan masyarakat Malang Raya.

 

Dia menyebut bahwa pada laga selanjutnya para pemain akan menampilkan permainan lebih baik ketimbang di laga hari ini.

"Kami akan mengevaluasi mana yang masih ada kekurangan, terutama kekurangan pribadi. Saya yakin Arema lebih kuat kedepannya," kata Arkhan.

 

Soal penyebab kekalahan, menurut Arkhan itu terjadi karena dia dan rekan-rekannya masih tidak begitu kompak ketika berada di lapangan.

 

"Kami kecolongan gol di awal babak pertama, terus di babak kedua sudah bermain bagus tapi pada akhirnya harus kebobolan lagi hingga hilang arah," tutur pemain berusia 20 tahun itu.
